After leaving college, Liah took a keen interest in community development activities and projects, whether voluntary or paid. She has been fortunate to attend training which helped her learn skills to deliver specific training for communities in rural and remote areas. She is a leader in her village’s council of women, where she has assisted and supported unemployed women to be productive using the available resources for income generation. Liah believes studying in Australia will allow her to better understand development in relation to economic, social and political aspects in a multi ethnic society and compare it to her home society.
