Thelma studies Building studies at the University of Papua New Guinea. She is concerned about preserving and protecting the environment, for this reason, she wants to introduce a recycling paper industry in order to minimize the depletion of the forest. She thinks that the experience of studying abroad will help her to be more confident and to excel her field of study. She has helped her community by educating people about teenage pregnancies and its effects on young people’s lives; she has also worked with a group promoting the protection of the environment.
