Miss M. M. Sakalasuriya is a student of Special Degree in Economics and has developed a special interest in Economics of Conflicts and Livelihood Analysis. She is also interested in English Literature, and has taken it as an optional subject. She spends her leisure on reading Russian Novels, too. She is a strong protestor against ragging in the University and campaigns for protecting animals. She believes that studying in Australia will give her lot of opportunities and it will help her further study the Economic implications of Conflicts going on in several countries in the world. This gives her the hope to strengthen her knowledge and contribute to the best of her ability in solving the problems of Sri Lanka.
